Taking a ferry directly from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo, located in the suburb of Mosman, is the first unexpected joy of visiting the animal park. Once there, the leisurely trails and opportunity to see some of Australia's distinct wildlife become...more

I visited Taronga Zoo at night during Vivid Sydney with a friend. It was an amazing experience to visit the zoo at night. Too bad it was raining heavily when I visited.
Family with young children would have a great time.
We took the ferry from Circular Quay to the zoo and took the cable car. The views are amazing. This is a lovely zoo. We didn't visit until the afternoon and so we missed the "cuddle a koala" experience, so get there earlier to avoid...More
Bit pricey but there is enough happening to occupy you for a whole day. Lots of shows, easy access to all animals, helpful volunteers, play areas, plenty of food options, rest areas and an amazing view. And don't forget to take the ferry back to the...More
I went there for a school trip and, in my opinion it was great! Lots of animals to see, and the petting zoo was filled with animals to touch. A playground is right next to the petting zoo as well. But the food is way...More
Only a short ferry ride across the harbor, it provided a full day of activities! With a Pram we couldn’t take the Sky Safari up so we walked up a slight hill to the entry. Highlights include the seal show, up close with the wallabies,...More
I would say to go to the zoo but dont pay extra for the "wild Australian experience" as it is way too expensive for what you get. If your main thing is to see the koala just pay the $25 for the koala experience and...More
Was a really good family friendly zoo with the best views of the harbour going around. Would highly recommend a ferry ride over to the zoo from Circular Quay to the zoo and catch the gondola up the the top of the zoo and make...More
I took my Grandaughter to this Zoo while visiting Sydney. As Queenslanders it's difficult not to compare every other zoo to Australia Zoo !
The bird show was average but the view from here across to the city is fabulous.
I felt this Zoo wasn't...More
Taronga is a beautiful zoo with magnificent views of Sydney Harbour. There’s really only one way to see it & thats from the top down, unless your a triathlete or something because it’s on a super steep hillside. I usually take the ferry which docks...More
With a variety of outdoor attractions, the sophisticated harbour suburb of Mosman has something for everyone. Shoppers can stroll Military Road for its unique offering of antiques, designer labels, and hip restaurants and cafes. Nature lovers can take in spectacular bushwalks like the Taronga to Balmoral walk, while families can enjoy snorkeling in the sheltered beaches of Balmoral Beach or scuba diving at
Chowder Bay. History lovers enjoy exploring the fortifications at the end of Old Fort Road in Middle Head, which date back to the 1800s. Even the exhibitionist set can find entertainment in Mosman, with several nude beaches located in the area.
