We were staying next door at the Newport Beachside Hotel. You get free access to the pier, but there is nothing to do except fish or watch others fish.

Excellent salads and sandwiches, served in a wonderful setting on the pier, over the ocean. Wide range of menu choices and food was very fresh.

Pier Park is located to the east of Collins Ave. Its a residential area, away from the main strip. If offers a variety of local ice cream shops, dog and kids park. Parking is not hard to find.
