Visited the castle on a damp December night to see the illuminated gardens. Absolutely stunning even in the rain! The gardens are cleverly lit and there were staff and volunteers at strategic points to ensure everyone was safe in the dark.

Visited last Sunday in the evening. Was very well thought out, great to wonder around the gardens and see all the different lights. Different to see a house at night with the beautiful Christmas Trees. Well done Powis great experience to give to the guests.

The castle is built on top of a mound, which means that it dominates the landscape, but also means that it is uphill whichever way you look at it. Difficult to take photos, but very dramatic if you manage it.
