This was a real let down. Thought might be able to get some things. Went in the cafe. Had a coffee it was the worst I have ever tasted left a nasty taste in my mouth. The prices are ridiculous on the items they sell....More

This is one of too many clearance villages, where the people where driven from the land like the sheep that replaced them. You can walk through the ruins, and see glimpses back into what was - an old cooking pot in one room, fallen down...More

Nice little cluster of ruined buildings where you can imagine the little community that lived there before being kicked out. A real shame because it would be lovely little spot to call home.

Hard to believe people eeked a living on this land, however they did. Then they were thrown out of their homes and off the land. Nice gentle walk from car park, well signed.

Worth the treck for the view if the historical bit is not your thing. The story however is quite shocking, especially given the remoteness of the site. Glad I did not live in those times.

The interpretation board provides sufficient information for you to gain an understanding of what life must have been like. I doubt if the residents really had time to appreciate the amazing views down Scotnish.
