What a fantastic place, three separate areas and all very well displayed we found the information about the Pilgrimage history easy to follow. The old church was beautiful and when we got outside to enter the third building a overzealous mother herring gull took an...More

The museum and the pilgrimage next door are a must see in the area. A lovely little museum with a good collection and great staff with a real interest in history and the collection.

We had a great afternoon here. It's a really interesting little museum and Jason, in The Pilgrimage, is incredibly well informed about local history. We had to tear ourselves away after a fascinating chat with him about Pictish history, military history, Scottish history as well...More

Nice little museum if you are interested in local history and crafts. Suitable for children too. Our guide that day was very professional and dedicated to the subject, so we got a lot more out of our visit than just seeing the exhibition..

A visit to the Tain district and museum is well worth the time in this classic Scottish village. An hour bus ride from Inverness will drop you right down town. Interesting shops and small cafes abound

Our main rason for visiting the museum was the rain! It turned out to be really interesting and not just for the local interest. The collection of Tain silver is beautiful, (but I am a sucker for polished silver) and the stained glass windows in...More
