Logging has caused much disruption but walk beyond that, it's lovely! On my walks (early morning) I've seen deer, fox, red squirrel, red kite and buzzard not to mention beautiful scenery.

Lovely to be out in the woods and then reach the top of the hill. Shame about the logging but hopefully they will re plant with native trees. The Stone Maze is worth a visit.

Ideal area for a variety of woodland walks from which you can view Jamestown, the Touchstone Maze, the old Curling Pond or climb above it to view Strathpeffer and take a longer walk to eventually reach Knockfarrel, with even better views of the surrounding countryside....More

This lovely stone labyinth is tucked into a clearing in the wood, just off the main path. It is delightfully peaceful, and well worth the small hike.

A great walk through beautiful old trees to Jamestown. There is a circular path which means you doh't have to repeat your steps.

A lovely woodland walk which emerges at a church ruin in the hamlet of Jamestown. There is another route through the wood but we came back via the road to visit a nearby loch.
