This involves a lengthy drive on single track with places where going off the road would be disastrous, however the views are worth it.

We drove from Inverness, out to Gairloch, along the coast through Fearnmore, and on to Applecross. Every two minutes, I wanted to stop the car and jump out for pictures. At one point, we turned a corner and the view down the mountain to the...More

Took the Bealach ba Ba Road on a grey, drizzly day. The views were beautiful and can only imagine how fantastic they would be on a sunny day. Not a drive for the faint hearted

This is a great ride for cyclists, motorbikes & cars. I wouldnt fancy taking a towed vehicle up these narrow roads. Fantastic views. Great waterfalls.

The whole area around here is lovely and I’m sure the views on every twist and bend of this exhilarating drive are gorgeous. If only you get the weather. Which sadly we didn’t Have to come back though

It really is spectacular scenery around here-however we did not even get to see some the most amazing views on the day were there as the cloud was very low-you cannot guarantee the weather but to be fair it truly was amazing anyway!

This road is an Experience! You just climb & climb & Zigzag & Zigzag. Amazing views if you are not driving. If you are driving keep your wits about you. If in the Applecross area a must do!

Sheildaig is lovely and has a good pub and restaurant. Applecross is lovely too but I think its not a good base, unless you like the hairy drive on a regular basis! We stayed in a lodge in Achintraid, just outside of Kishorn... More
