Not the highest mountain in these parts but an excellent short climb to a cracking viewpoint - looking across Loch Stack to Arkle and Foinaven, or out towards the coast. Thoroughly recommended.

Stunning views all around...but for hikes, this is serious business and could be very dangerous. We drove by and got out for photos. Again, stunning.

Even though Ben Stack is not a munro the climb is quite demanding. Most of the climb is through boggy ground so make sure you wear fitting boots. The start of the track was a bit hard to find, as it is not signposted. It...More

A very convenient climb right by the side of the road. Not too taxing and in good weather would give good views! Eagles in the area too (and some low flying aircraft occasionally).

It's the highest mountain nearby, trails are great even for a moderately fit family.
