For a 'municipal' park, this is very nice. Large with good walking areas, lovely tree'd areas, walks alongside the river, and with lots of play areas/facilities if you have children. Also has a small café.

We spent an afternoon here yesterday with my 2 grandchildren aged 3 and 9, they had great fun playing in the sandpit and the water feature. Shame the rain came on and we had to dash to the car

A very pleasant place to take a walk and if you like zipwires then there are a few of those about, but I don't so it was just a decent stroll.

A really nice and well kept park which is an asset to the town. A little cabin cafe with moderate menu and average coffee. Certainly worth a visit on a fine afternoon if you have children.
