Westray is a lovely Island. A great place to stay for a few nights. We stayed for 3 nights, did some walking and driving, saw a lot of puffins at Castle O Burrian and did a daytrip to PapaWestray

This is a very attractive island with lots to see and especially good for those who are bird watchers. The cliffs are dramatic and full of sea birds and you could watch then fly and feed their young for hours. Watch the shortest flight in...More

We came on the noon boat from Kirkwall to have a short visit and we wish we came for a few days or at least with the early morning boat so we could spend some more time about the isle. Quite a few gems to...More

We stayed at Chalmersquoy campsite which is behind The Barn (hostel). We all loved our stay on the island. We were not bothered by midges and our hosts were lovely. We would all be happy to go back again to this gorgeous island.

Great place to get away from it all. Super beaches and wildlife. Several places to eat out and shops that between them sell everything you could require. Friendly locals, interesting history.
