We had booked golf at Brodick GC way back on 3rd February 2024 for one round for 4 players and 2 buggies. Our date to play was 12th May 2024 and the round and buggy availability was confirmed from Jacki at the Club via the BRS system.
Fast forward just over 3 months and we are on the island for our golf weekend. With less than 24hrs before our scheduled tee time at Brodick on 12th May we receive an email from the Club to say there was only one buggy now available and that this had now been requested by another player who had just had a hip replacement so if we still wanted to play it would be “a walking only course”. We had asked to hire buggies in the first place out of necessity and not as “a nice to have”.
We therefore cancelled our booking and thankfully have managed to arrange another game today at Lamlash Golf Club.
Safe to say that when we come back to the island again to play golf we will not be considering Brodick GC as a venue. Not a good customer experience!

We played this course on Saturday- what a big mistake
We've been to Arran before but have never golfed here - looked on the website and saw Saturday afternoon looked quiet around 1pm
From the first tee we were held up by groups of beer swilling loudmouth so called golfers (from Glasgow by their accents) who were playing in groups of 6 at some tees
They left beer cans and bottles all over the course - we gave up after 12 holes which took the best part of 4 hours and walked in
The lady in the pro shop was most apologetic and refunded half our green fee
This spoiled our whole experience at Brodick Golf Club and although we were asked if we wanted to play the next day we declined
The course condition didn't reflect the £31pp green fee
One recommendation to the club committee- ask a couple of members to go around the course when there are large parties booked and see how they behave

Played Brodick last Friday and it’s easily in the worst condition I’ve seen.
The greens are bumpy, too much grass and very unpredictable.
The fairways are predominately moss so awful to play off of. I lost two balls on fairways as they are so wet the ball just disappears. The course is very wet which makes for unpleasant conditions under foot.
The course in general needs money spent on it to bring it back to anywhere near average.

Had the extreme privilege of dining with 4 friends in this wonderful Golf Club,,,,,the welcome from the mebers was first class,,,,,the food and service were absolutely excellent,,and the prices were very, very good (much cheaper than other establishments on the island),,,,although we were not playing a round of golf, to allow us to eat here and the welcome given to us was greatly appreciated,,we most certainly will return,,,,and would recommend anyone visiting Arran to pay a visit to this wonderful location and partake of a splendid meal,,,,all well presented,,,,well done to all at Brodick Golf Club,,,,,we will return

Basically a Parkland course with a few coastal holes it offers some great long Par 3's and lovely views but isn't, in my opinion, the best course on Arran.
Having played most Links Courses in Scotland there is absolutely no doubt this one is pushing things to call itself part Links. Yes, 3 holes do play along Brodick Bay but that's where it's similarities with other links courses end. There just aren't the undulating fairways running into dips and hollows providing the thrill of not knowing if your ball will take a kind 'members bounce' or the wind protection you expect from a true Links.
Holes here are testing though with many of the Par 3 greens being difficult to reach even with your Driver and this course provides a challenge for all skill levels and is fun to play.

Interesting holes, especially testing par 3s and some narrow fairways. Greens were great but fairways not good at all. Pricey for what you got we thought and not a patch on Shiskine.

We used the golf club as visitors during our week in Brodick. Staff were so welcoming and friendly and prices in the bar and for food were excellent. Would highly recommend it and will most definitely visit next time we are in Arran.

Very hospitable place for visitors with very good service and prices more favourable than other local pubs and restaurants.
Decent choice of pub grub despite it being in the off season for golf. First time here for eats and all main courses less than £10. As it was Burns’ Night had local haggis and trimmings which was very tasty. Would recommend this club to visitors

5 of us was over on Thursday 21 at June. We did the overseas package. £32 this included our round of golf. A Bacon Roll, tea or coffee when we arrived. Then a meal after our game. The course was immaculate the weather was great. Big thanks to the new Bar Steward and his Staff (I never even got his name) for there hospitality. He has brought in a selection of Gins and beers and glad to say we spent a few hours sampling them. By the way the Fish and Chips were terrific. Thank you once again and we hope to see you next year.

Hi
Please could you let me know if you hire trolleys and if so what do you charge?
Kind Regards
James Collard

Don’t know but pretty sure they will have trolleys. Course is absolutely flat in any case. Suggest you contact the golf club direct
