There is a reason why location scouts pick destinations like Ballintoy Harbour. It is wild, beautiful and isolated - especially when winter keeps the tourist numbers low. We had enjoyed a long but breathtaking coastal drive from Dungaloe and were ready to take a break...More

The tight winding road doesn’t allow coach access so coming to Ballintoy Harbour gives a chance to avoid the tour bus crowds. A gorgeous little harbour that has had scenes of GoT shot around the harbour. There is a sign explaining which season etc. Not...More

A wonderful spot to stop and rest. It is a beautiful little harbor that gives you a sense of what it was like to try to make a living on that wild coast.

Beautiful harbour and well worth doing instead of paying for the nearby ripoff rope bridge . Our family had such fun playing on the rocks

We originally weren't going to stop here as we were coming into the area to see Giant's Causeway and thought it might be too crowded or difficult to get to. We also thought, since only a couple small scenes from GoT's had been filmed here,...More

No tour taken - not needed if you do any research. Spend as long - or as little - a time as you want. Walking and looking and relaxing are difficult to quantify. I can imagine some spending 5 minutes, taking photo and... More
