For what’s on offer, £6.50 per adult is rather pricey. Their garden centre is made up of mostly overpriced ornamental grasses. Most of which are scruffy. I asked about painting in the gardens thinking I might take out a membership there to make it more...More

Interesting planting, ponds and crisscrossing paths weaved throughout the garden. Sadly no plants are labelled and much of the hard landscaping has seen better days. Small, self service refreshments. Friendly, helpful garden staff. Large car park. Fair value with the Gardeners’ World 2 for 1...More

Knoll Gardens are justly famous for their gardens which showcase what can be done with grasses. My visit was to buy something special from the nursery adjacent to the car park. They have an amazing stock including unusual and hard-to-get plants. The staff are knowledgeable,...More

Turned up on a beautiful February morning, paid the £4.00 entrance fee and wished I had stayed in the car.

As a keen gardener and one who is particularly interested in grasses and naturalistic gardening I really enjoyed walking around this garden. Also there are many grasses for sale you wouldn't find in the usual outlets. The little seating area outside the entrance to have...More

Went on Thursday in August. Very quiet. My wife and I both loved the ambience and the planting. Great swathes of grasses and perennials, many in flower. The effect is created by the forms of foliage rather than any vulgar vibrant colours. It's really subtle...More

After going to the left at the entrance, the first part was very disappointing, particularly the wasted pergola area bereft of colour, but the other half was much better, there is plenty seating available and well laid out areas of interest, overall a little overpriced...More
