I often walk back from Wareham shops along the walls in either direction. Always something to see, birds, Deer etc. Unless you know before hand, some might expect stone walls and not a grassed earth bank. It has been here for over a thousand years...More

It is interesting that because much of the outside of the city is un-developed, it gives you a real perspective of just how high and impressive these walls must have been. We took a walk around the entire length which took about 40 minutes. There...More

I walk home 5 days a week along these walls. While I have become attuned to seeing these nearly everyday, I still appreciate it's a nice slice of history surrounding the town. The council takes good care of it and monthly cuts the grass. While...More

We didn't know of its existence and only discovered it whilst looking for a car park. Although not a great monument it provides an insight into an earlier and more dangerous age.

Lovely walk but needs some TLC to make it really good. More information signs and better care of the banks.
