This walk does have a steep climb if you are going Swanage to Studland. Much easier the other way round. Purbeck breezer bus can be taken both ways to get back to your starting point. The views at Old Harry rocks are simply amazing.

Spectacular views over to Bournemouth, The Isle of wight as well as Swanage. Mostly gentle up and down hill, but with some steps and steeper parts on the climb down to Swanage Beach. Wear proper walking shoes not recommended in wet weather as the path...More

Highly recommend this lovely cliff top walk to Swanage. There is some uphill but plenty of downhill too and the spectauclar sea views make it all worthwhile. You can catch the Breezer bus service back to Studland if you cant make the walk back again.

Quite simply, this has to be one of the best walks I've ever done .... The views are breath taking, both out to sea and inland over Poole lagoon. The paths are clearly marked. On the day we walked, the sky was filled with low...More

For a couple of hours ambling along the coastal path, we enjoyed stunning views, a bit of history at "the bunker" as one local called the viewing block used by Churchill, Roosevelt and Montgomery in WW2 and very short walk back to the Pig for...More

A great walk with stunning views. Mix of terrain with a gentle walk to Old Harry's Rock and a steep descent into Swanage.

The walk from Swanage to Studland came at the end of our six days from St. Ives to Poole finally completing the SWCP. Harry’s Rocks are the main highlight - but there’s also lots more to see as you make this relatively easy trek to...More

One of my favourite walks encompassing two lovely beaches, Studland and swanage, old harry rocks plus a gorgeous coastal path with stunning views. You can either walk the same path in reverse which gives you new views on return journey or make a circuit going...More
