There is good access to the beach from the car park over a boardwalk. The beach was quieter than the middle beach and there are nice views across to sandbanks and one can watch the ferry going backward and forward.

The water is clear with a sandy beach. Beautiful location but problems with fires in the summer time because of bar b ques. Take a picnic and blanket and enjoy the harbour views towards Brownsea Island.
Got here early on a bank holiday and the beach was almost empty.
If you are National Trust members then you scan your card and you can park free all day.

Beautiful beach and area that is a mission to get to in the summer (unless on foot/bike/boat) but beyond worth it and so much more chilled than Bournemouth beaches! If you are going across the ferry use public transport or walk!
