A beautiful, simple place for piece and a little wander on a pebble beach with amazing views of the sea crashing against the rocks.

Had a couple of spare hours, so got my kit on and headed out to the cliffs from Weston Street and a hour later ended up at the Cove, beautiful views no matter what time of year.

This beach is easily missed. The parking is free, but across the road. The view from above the beach is beautiful, however the walk down is steep, but paved. The beach is covered in pebbles, although there is some sand.

Walk down to the beach is something you see in the Mediterranean,It’s so beautiful. The beach itself is small and quiet. It’s also dog friendly! Definitely worth a visit!

My favourite day of the holiday was spent here - its beautiful, quiet, clear blue waters. Want to return to Portland just for this beach

There is a lot to see at this stop. The Cove is a small beach, and you must take steps down to it. There are also castle ruins and church ruins to see, as well as the Portland Museum. Well worth a stop

Really enjoyed a quick dip here in the afternoon. It is a nice rocky beach welcome for dogs and with plenty to see along the coast in both directions. Be ready for a bit of a walk in, and around to properly enjoy it.
