as we were on holiday and wanted to meet our friend, this was a central point and what a good choice it was. We met for coffee at 11.30am and what lovely apple cake we had with it. We got tickets for the 1.00pm house...More
We wanted to visit this house since it was used in filming “far from the madding crowd”. Little did you know that we would not be able to tour the inside of home that day. Recommend making reservations ahead of time. We arrived midweek around...More
The tour was flawless throughout. Our guide was the complete professional in engaging her audience and excellent delivery of content. It was a truly enthralling hour which I am sure is repeated on a daily basis.

Fabulous place to visit, the house tour is a must, very informative and interesting. Stroll around the garden at your own leisure. Had tea and cake in the sawmill cafe and have to say we had the most delicious carrot cake ever.
Ok visit to well laid out landscaped garden. Beautiful location. £6 per head special offer just about value for money. Cafe let down by disposable cups for a venue trying and priced to be at a level above this.
I went with a group from the National Trust Oakleaves. I think it was bout £18 to get in the house. The café was in a converted barn. There was a small gift shop, and really beautiful gardens at the back of the house. The... More
