What amazing views you get on top of the hill. There is nothing in the chapel but worth every step up there. So glad we finally did it after 25 years of visiting the area.

The story of this chapel can be read at the chapel. It is nice to walk to the chapel. Follow the signs from the parking at the swannery. From the chapel you can walk to Abbotsbury. You can stop at the The Old Schoolhouse and...More

Great views of Chesil beach and Abbotsbury are had from here, 10 minutes to walk up here from the village 15th century chapel empty inside, been coming here for 30 years. Becouse it’s quite high up it can get a bit breezy.

There are a few commercial endeavors associated with Abbotsbury the at various stages of life hold appeal to particular audiences. We were largely less interested in those, but found Abbotsbury village itself, including vistas and aura around St Catherine, a fully worthy stop for a...More

We diverted from our route along the SWCP to visit the village of Abbotsbury including this notable landmark. Whilst it added some distance to our long day’s walking (and more than necessary through my poor choice of route), it also added a lot of interest...More
