Lovely beach, well worth a visit if on your hols. We went with good friends and thoroughly enjoyed the day..as did the little ones. Safe as it doesn’t shelve and they had lifeguards whilst we were there.

Excellent beach, very clean, huge and flat. Awesome for surfing, lifeguards are very attentive, helpful and polite, with plenty of cover for surfers and body boards/swimmers.

Yes there are a few shops with surfboards for sale and hire. You will see them in the small town area behind the Red Barn pub/restaurant and also down by the beach. We used Huntersurf to hire some bodyboards & wetsuits... More

Yes dogs are allowed to the left of the stream although they must be kept on a lead. If you want to let them off lead then the area is much further down the beach to the left of the millstone. Hope that helps.

I think this beach is particularly well equipped for this. There are personnel on the beach, the lifeguards have a 4x4 and I’ve seen quad bikes as well.
