An amazing place to visit especially in this hot weather. A scenic boat ride out and then a very tasty meal. Puds to die for!! Ambience exceptional and staff all very helpful , including the boatman.

Starting between Exmouth and Dawlish, going up through Topsham and Exeter. Great walk with plenty of restaurants and facilities going up the river. There are also boat trips you can get on, which I might give ago next time.

This is a lovely river, and easily accessible by train as the railway runs along it from Exeter to Exmouth, with quite a few stations on the way. Villages like Lympstone and Topsham are well worth spending a while looking round.

The staff on this boat clearly don't like people. We booked a return ticket but we're turned away on the return as the staff member was more interested in taking money from one way travelers. My wife, 8 months pregnant, was made to stand in...More

There are many walks along the River Exe, specifically design for walkers - fast or slow. The River is also excellent to view from a boat.
