There are many walks along the River Exe, specifically design for walkers - fast or slow. The River is also excellent to view from a boat.

In March 2018 we faced the Beast from the East with wind chill of -11 deg C, wow it was a cold few days but the glory of the Exe at sunset was still a welcome sight from the Imperial Hotel.

From Topsham I cycled south along the largely traffic - free route 2. It is around 11 miles to Budleigh Salterton which is a great destination. The route is very well maintained.

The river Exe estuary in Exmouth is a fantastic part of the river Exe and there is plenty of wildlife to see here. When the tide goes out a massive expanse of estuary Sands are exposed.
