From source to estuary this river has some stunning scenery, pubs on its banks and many interesting towns and villages, eg Topsham, Exmouth, Exeter and its cathedral plus all the places further up the river towards Exmoor. Definintely worth exploring.

This is a beautiful river estuary on the otherside of the docks, near to the railway station. Small grass area and some seating to enjoy the surrounding countryside.

The river Exe is fascinating, especially if you are lucky enough to watch it from a good vantage point. We were able to do this and watch as the river emerged from a thick mist into glorious sunshine.

Starting between Exmouth and Dawlish, going up through Topsham and Exeter. Great walk with plenty of restaurants and facilities going up the river. There are also boat trips you can get on, which I might give ago next time.
