Living in Exmouth, the walk along the Exe estuary to Lympstone is one we have done on many occasions, but the beauty of the walk is still a source of wonder to me. The local authorities have invested heavily in the cycle & footpath along...More

If you would like to witness cycle/ walk path rage at its best - take the walk to Exmouth from Lympstone. The scenery isn't that pleasant anyway but add to that abuse by cyclists and walkers alike ( keep your head down and keep walking)...More

A superb gentle walk suitable for most people. Stunning views but best done away from peak times. I have read reviews where people either blame the speeding cyclists who don’t have bells (true of some but not all) or the parents with free range dogs...More

Cycled this route today, Highly recommended it. There are many comments saying that the cyclists are selfish and speed, the only downside I found was the selfish walkers with theirs dogs and children who seemed to have no control over them, I could not do...More

Lots of cyclists on the pathway, which can get a bit crowded. Easy walking, nice views out over the estuary

A beautiful walk with stunning views of the wonderful Exe Estuary completely ruined by many, not all , cyclists. These, mostly clad in gaudy Lycra, hurtle past at speeds around 30 mph. Walking at approximately 5mph they are approaching, silently at 6 times my speed....More

I have walked this a number of times and I'm always impressed by the ever changing light and landscape, depending on the level of the tide. The pathway is well constructed with great views all along the way. You can walk one way and then...More

This is an easy level walk from the gorgeous village of Lympstone. (Well worth a visit on its own) Most of the walk is along a purpose built boardwalk but all of the route is shared with cyclists which can make it quite tricky if...More
