A very interesting house and very interesting staff in most of the rooms. Cafe good too. There are brass rubbings in the grounds for the children to do and a second hand book shop.

This is what I like about the NT - all sorts of different properties to visit, all different shapes and sizes, something to suit everyone. Spent a fascinating few hours here wandering around this most unusual small (by NT standards) house. Only disappointment was standard...More

The house was much more interesting and larger than we had expected. We only had a flying visit but we will be back to explore the property better. The guides in the house (and there were many) were really helpful and knowledgeable.

I really enjoyed my visit to A La Ronde. It is one of the more "homley" National Trust properties that I have visited. I could really see a family living here, compared with some of the grander types. The house is really well preserved and...More

Part of a National Trust site but you don't need to pay entry to use cafe. Great place for afternoon tea...cream tea especially.

A la Ronde is a small property but has Tardis like qualities, that is , it is bigger(seems so) on the inside than you would expect from seeing the outside. Has an interesting history

One of my favourite houses to have visited yet oozing with character and informative staff. The collection of shells was spectacular particularly. Feels a lot bigger inside than it looks outside and the grounds whilst reasonably small are beautiful also. The only downside is the...More

The history behind this charming residence is just as interesting as the house itself. I particularly enjoyed the collections displayed , no smartening up or modernising. The inlaid tables, gave me a few ideas ! The staff were a wealth of knowledge and very friendly...More

Very charming house which is a lot bigger inside than you’d expect. Everything about the design reflects European travelling experience of these two very wealthy ladies. Colour combinations shouldn’t work yet everything is very pleasing. Ask the charming volunteers questions and they really open up...More

I an not an expert on these issues. Some parts are quite level and could be accessible, but much is lawned and could prove trickier.
