This is a tourist "trap" that has absolutely no historical integrity whatsoever. It claims to be a full size replica, but this is completely untrue. It is based on a steel barge and if anyone was crazy enough to take it to sea and hoist...More

Unable to review this properly as it was shut, even though the opening hours on the website stated the contrary. Had travelled with a young person I was mentoring and it was disappointing and needed me to change plans quickly.

Went to Brixham to look around and visit The Golden Hind. Sadly when we got there it was all closed up. We could only see it from the quay. There was some post dotted around so we got the general information about it. I really...More

We went on this boat which was a replica and didn't take long to go around. However there was a stamp game where you have to collect stamps for a prize at the end. I would recommend doing this as it is makes it more...More

We were recommended to visit this full-sized replica of Drake's famous ship and were not disappointed. Shown around by two charming Austrian girls, we took our time and learned a lot of history as well as seeing how cramped and unhealthy were the living conditions...More

This museum is in a full size replica of the famous Golden Hind, permanently moored in the harbour. The first thing that strikes you is how small the ship really was considering the original was at sea for three years! After you look around the...More

There is a surprising amount of information and pictures/ items on the ship. Although it looks quite small from the quayside, it is a full sized replica and has plenty of interesting information on the decks and in the cabins / hold. Worth a look...More

Some of the ship is but there are steps down to the lower and upper desks which you wouldn't not be able to get the pushchair up and down so you might struggle to see much. Hope this helps
