Well worth a visit when in Brixham. It's in the old Police Station in New Road, a place in itself is historic. It also has a unique working Model Railway of Brixham Station set in the late 1940's in GWR days.

This is a deceptive place, with 2 floors of exhibits, about prehistoric life in and around the Brixham caves, then a large display about WW2, another about the fishing industry, and several exhibits about local life, houses, education and railways. It is free and manned...More

Didn't expect much - but what a surprise it was a great place to visit - it's like a tardis with lots to see and read up on - we spent two and a half hours looking round and still didn't see everything.

This could easily be a dozen separate museums so to have it all in one building means there's something of interest for everyone.
