Always love a walk at Castletown. Vast grounds to walk around and beautiful walks by the Liffey. The house itself has guided tours and is worth doing one as the history is very interesting and is great to get a look inside this magnificent house.

Castletown house is one of the best "big houses" that I've visited. Rich in history and the staff were lovely. The tour guide knew her stuff and even when she didn't know, she recommended the person that would know the answer. The food in the...More

We had an excellent tour of Castletown house which reveals Irish culture at its height. The house is an extensive Palladian home and wonderful trim. Afterwards you can visit the grounds which have follies and are pleasant to walk through.

It is absolutely amazing how well this historic property was restored and how much detail was invested in bringing it back to its former glory. Not far from Dublin, a MUST to see. Great gardens too plus coffee shop.
