This lake has many fond family memories as my grandfather used to own a cabin in one of the coves before he passed. I remember as a child when they drained the lake and you could see the remains of home sites from long ago....More

I drive past the lake every day. It is only a few miles from the house. Great for sail boats and fishing.

Beautiful lake surrounded by state forest land and small amount of development. Marinas for sailing, pontoons, houseboats motorboats, jet skies. Something for everybody.

Unspoiled paradise - rent a boat at one of the local marinas if you really want to explore. I can't believe how few people were out on the lake on a beautiful summer weekend.

Not many restaurants around the Lake--------Have to go to Mtn. City for those 30 miles away....go to one of the Gemstone mines there. They also have better restaurants there and they have many outfitters there. Also visit... More

Late March is a 50/50 chance of good/bad weather - have seen it snow. Recommend waiting a couple of months unless you want to try trout fishing in the nearby streams and rivers.
