Perfect place for family or group picnic, Beautiful with access to lake. Lake is clean and there's fishing and boating, sailing, paddle board.

This lake has many fond family memories as my grandfather used to own a cabin in one of the coves before he passed. I remember as a child when they drained the lake and you could see the remains of home sites from long ago....More

I drive past the lake every day. It is only a few miles from the house. Great for sail boats and fishing.

Spent a lovely day here with new kayaks and kids (actually, i've had the kids for a while but the kayaks were new). Super easy access and a great, peaceful place to learn to paddle without wakes. Swimming was also pleasant. Only complaint...a fair amount...More

Beautiful lake surrounded by state forest land and small amount of development. Marinas for sailing, pontoons, houseboats motorboats, jet skies. Something for everybody.

During the summer we go to several of the recreational areas and just play cards and enjoy the cool breeze off the lake. you can go to Erwin and get pass for the year for just a few dollars i don't remember exactly how much...More

We were just passing through area so I am really not sure on when you can swim. I would imagine that the water is a bit cooler than some lakes due to the fact that it is in a higher elevation and surrounded by mountains... More

Not many restaurants around the Lake--------Have to go to Mtn. City for those 30 miles away....go to one of the Gemstone mines there. They also have better restaurants there and they have many outfitters there. Also visit... More

Late March is a 50/50 chance of good/bad weather - have seen it snow. Recommend waiting a couple of months unless you want to try trout fishing in the nearby streams and rivers.
