A pretty detailed account of gold prospecting locally and around the world world. Some interesting artefacts and displays. There are also outside exhibits, though it was rather cold to linger too long! We'd only stopped for the cafe initially but that isn't in the museum...More

A fantastic museum not only about gold mining on Finland, but all over the world. Especially great in winter, as there are no mosquitoes to snack on you. Make sure to try gold panning yourself - it is great fun!
