Road our bikes from Huntington Beach SP, just across from Brookgreen. Figurative sculpture in a beautifully maintained garden.

Was not expecting it to be as large or nice. Vast expanses of fountains, trees, lawns and walking areas. Bonus zoo at the end too! If you've got a few hours on a beautiful day, this is a great way to spend an afternoon outdoors.

It really depends on the area of the park you are walking. Some areas have quite a bit of shade, but others are more open. There are plenty of great areas to choose from whether you want shade or not.
