It was what you expect from a farm market - good vegetables in season, but our watermelon wasn't that great. We're usually better at picking good ones... Probably overpriced, but it won't break the bank and you get some healthy food to eat while at the beach.

We always stop at King's Farm Market on our way to Edisto and on our way out. Fresh made dishes to warm up at the beach. Also their shrimp dip and clam dip make a great snack. They also make beautiful wreaths for the season. I got a beautiful fall wreath to take home. A must stop.

We stopped at Kings for fresh vegetables, casseroles, desert, bread, and other items. All the vegetables were outstanding. We tried the tomato pie and the onion pie. Both were excellent. Our favorite was the onion pie. While I would recommend all the deserts, the banana pudding was my favorite. Don’t miss the wonderful market.

While in Edisto we stocked up on items we could cook in the condo. The staff was super nice and very helpful. Great selection of produce and fresh baked items. The breakfast quiche was on point and the cinnamon rolls were oh so good. I enjoyed seeing the farmers working the fields and seeing the chickens as well.

Great place to buy interesting food items. Lots of selection and variety. When we were there, a woman was outside displaying and selling Sweet Grass items. Items were nice quality and prices were reasonable. We purchased several. She was very pleasant and told us a lot about the area. Definitely, worth the stop. So glad we did.

We stop here on every trip to Edisto! We love all of their homemade pies, cakes and casseroles. The have fresh fruits and veggies. I love the flower bouquets the best! The grow all of their own wildflowers and sunflowers. The are beautiful and always look beautiful on our rental homes dining table!

How does this place have some many great reviews? Stopped on a Saturday . They had a handful of sad pies in a cooler, some freezer burnt seafood casseroles, very few vegetables and tourist crap. Didnt quite see what others have reviewed here. Maybe later in the season its better? The pick your own strawberries looked fun, but otherwise, just your basic farm market. No local honeys, very sparce vegs, no fruits other than the pick your strawberries and a few sad pies.

Hello Em, we are really sorry that this was the experience that you had - it is truly completely out of the norm for the food & service that we typically provide. Can you please contact info@kingsfarmmarket.com with the date and time of your visit so we can further look into why there may have been complications. I can assure you, this is not a reflection of how our business normally operates and would like to make sure we can find out all we can to make sure it is a completely isolated incident. We hope you will give us another chance in the future.

“Everyone” told me I had to come here for my fresh veggies and pre-made entrees. I was so excited that I could get fresh picked produce.
I wanted to get some fresh corn. Well, it wasn’t fresh. The silk was dry and the husks were also. There are signs telling you not to peel the husks back to look at the ears. I didn’t buy corn that day.
I did buy a shrimp and crab casserole. I was so excited about it. I was staying out of restaurants this trip and this seemed a great way to get in two meals. So disappointed. The casserole was mostly onion and green pepper. It was very watery and did not live up to my hopes.
I also purchased a frozen container of she crab soup. The broth was tasty. The presence of crab meat was scant and there was absolutely no crab Roe in the soup.
My feeling is that King’s, a staple for tourists to Edisto, has decided to rely too heavily on it’s former reputation and not worked on its current one.

Based on reviews stopped here on way home. Heard reviews on key lime pie so got one and really liked it. Also got BLT dip and loved it. The crab dip was just ok for me. Cute spot would get pie and BLT dip again.

As you enter, you see fresh tomatoes. Best on the island.

On your left is a freezer locker. Grab at least one each of Susan's Breakfast Quiche and the Key Lime Pie. Also Maria's Crab Dip. You'll be back for more of all three.

Just past the locker are the fresh cookies: Macadamia Nut and the Oatmeal/Raisin are tops.

At the far end is a locker my wife calls Entree Heaven: the Chicken Pot Pie is the BEST you'll ever find. Pure soul food. Also delicious are the Lasagna and the Shrimp Spectacular.

Now, drop by Flower's Seafood just up the road for fresh shrimp or scallops; then the BiLo for some wine, and you'll be eating like a King for days.
