We always come here when we are in Rhode island. Great place to walk. Peaceful, uncrowded, scenic. Free and there are restrooms in the building.

This is a fantastic, rustic place to run/walk. There are spectacular views and it is away from crowded areas of Newport. It is quiet--there are great places to sit by the ocean and walk along rocky areas. It is a little gem.

The 1.5 mile loop was easy to access. The views were fabulous. Parking was very easy. Lots of access points to climb on the rocks or sit on a bench. Guides were friendly.

Great view of beach. Nice signage to teach about species within the refuge. Paths are well-maintained.

As wildlife places go, this one is very easy to manage: the paths are very flat, and there's not much rough area to run through. And the views of the ocean are beautiful.

Quiet, peaceful, natural environment, away from all the crowds. Approximately 3 miles of easy trails with several ocean overlooks and easy access points to rocky beach. Visited two separate weekday mornings and only a few other people were there. Had one of the small rocky...More

Their hiking trails are right along the ocean's edge and there is great birding all along the way. We saw plenty of joggers and other hikers, and the views are lovely. There was a hawk on a railing 5 yards from the parking lot!

In some ways, the "best" spot is at Sachuset Point itself, which is between shoreline access points 2 and 4 on the refuge map that you can get at the headquarters or can download online (can't list the URL here due to TA... More

Its open, check on visitors center hours, sure it would be rough going with all the snow, trails aren't cleared. But some good viewing if you're up to it. Skis or snow shoes???
