Great place to stay with the girls and plenty nearby to do. We didn't manage walking round the whole lake due to hot weather but the part we did manage was nice. Downside is that, as with most SW Lake venues, people seem incapable of...More

We stayed at the campsite at the lake. A nice site quite and close to a great pub. Water sports are available on site. The only problem we had was the wind. It never stopped.

Very pleasant and easy walk.Lots of birdlife to be seen e.g.buzzard,kestrel,heron, cormorant, various ducks and geese.Walk does not go all around lake.We did half of it in a loop by road and ended by having lunch at Golden Lion pub which was very enjoyable.

I have fly-fished Stithians lake since 1978 and until 12 years ago held a season ticket. I returned this year with renewed enthusiasm, confident that not much would have changed but how wrong I was. Gone is the stock of reasonable sized brown trout !!...More

Although setup primarily to cater for the watersports centre the facilities are good but limited in number. The staff are helpful. The camping field will get very sodden if there's any rain as it doesn't drain very well. However, camping at the end of September...More

yes, wheelchair access is not a problem. you can even walk a little along a path or two. it is also possible to take the chair into the cafe although its better to sit outside and enjoy the view (weather permitting.
