The mine was closed around 1990 so is very current. The area is vast with many rooms and buildings able to be entered. The necessity of walking around with a hard hat is fun. Fascinating and educational. Needs at least a couple of hours. Thoroughly...More

Firstly, we found the staff here couldn't be more helpful or accomodating. Although we didn't go down the mine, information was plentiful and staff members knowledgeable. Nice cafe and pleasant, well stocked gift shop. Lots of things to look at and appreciate the history of.

I only visited Geevor and the tour has been described perfectly already. I agree with Neil that your daughter will be fine here and you'll all enjoy your visit

If you only have time for one I would recommend Geevor but they are so close to each other, only around a ten minute walk along the coast, it is easy to do both in one visit.
