I have never been to this railway before. We arrived mid afternoon and was greeted by some very enthusiastic volunteers. This railway is still very much an embronic railway in the making so don't go expecting something like the Worth Valley or North Yorkshire Moors....More

For anyone who has the remotest interest in preserved volunteer run railways, this is a must visit. It has to be on the list of things to do in that area. Volunteer staff are absolutely marvellous, with great ambitions to improve and extend the railway...More
