We stayed locally and had passed the signs to the site several times over the course of the week we were in the area. We decided to call in on a wet and miserable afternoon, but were welcomed with genuine warmth and enthusiasm by the...More

We have been visiting the museum for a few years now and it always offers good value with something new at every visit. A very diverse group of exhibits to cover the airfields history but also other airfields and theatres of war. Some favourites include...More

Spend the time to speak to the staff. Steve the chief is a bundle of positivity and passion for the museum and he and the team have created a fantastic home grown museum that surpasses its quaint image from the outside. Couldn't recommend more. More...More

The museum does not own the runways which I believe belong to a farmer who keeps a flock of sheep on them. The museum probably know who to contact, maybe worth a phone call.
