Went to St Annes Garden centre had lunch with my wife. I had fish (plaice) chips and mushy peas my wife had a southern fried chicken wrap. The portion size was so small I could have made a sandwich out of my fish (overcooked and crunchy)and chips and my wife's southern fried chicken wrap had two small pieces of chicken in it with a very small portion of chips. This cost us over £25 with two cups of coffee. Very disappointed with price, quality and portion size will definitely not be eating here again.

I've visited this Gardencentre for years, but yesterday was a big disappointment. Being disabled getting out and about, is sometimes challenging , this place is dog friendly, so I had my small dog with me. On our arrival 3 delivery vans were blocking some of the very limited disabled parking, I had to park a long way away from the doors. I only used 1 of my 2 elbow crutches, knowing I wanted to buy some plants so would need to carry a basket. My dog was attached via a waist leash to me, and just trotted along with me. I made my selection, and went to pay. I asked if the lady would leave the plants in the basket, so I could take them to my car, in a loud voice, I was told that I couldn't, I asked how was I going to get them to my car, and said I would return the basket . She said it wasn't allowed, didn't offer to get me any help. So I left without my intended purchases. Not to ever return.

New bank is improving every week. The quality of plants is excellent and well better than other garden centres. The cafe speaks for itself as to how busy it is. Very good value for money and also excellent. The staff Ant, Hailey, Julie, Charlotte and all the rest of the crew always greet you with a smile, enjoy good banter and can’t do enough to make your trip there pleasurable. I would recommend anyone to go there at anytime. It’s a pleasure to go there, browse as everything you need is in store, and go home refreshed and contented. Geoff Hayes.

On our last visit we found that you had to queue for a very long time to get a table for a meal I think it could be organised better .

Over priced plants. I thought other plant centres which were more of premium shop were actually cheaper than here. The food in the cafe was very average.. However the staff are friendly.

Spent most of my visit trying to get dog crap off my shoe after standing in it whilst looking at the plants outside. The guy watering the plants wasn’t greatly helpful and just handed me blue roll which didn’t get it off. I spent a good 5 minutes or so searching for someone else to help me and ended up asking the till staff to help. I was given a brush and anti bac spray and had to stand there scrubbing my shoes.

Apparently this happens once or twice per week!? If this is correct then why aren’t you pulling people up who come with their dogs and ensuring this doesn’t happen? You should be speaking to every dog owner who comes through the door as it’s obviously someone who comes every week who’s doing it?

I spent the rest of the time there actively looking around for more dog mess rather than looking at the actual products.

Won’t be returning until this is resolved.

This was my first time visiting this garden centre. It has an interesting range of outlets inside alongside its range of plants and garden equipment. There is a Pavers shoe outlet which was our primary reason for visiting. They had a great sale on. Another outlet sold Ella products bags scarves etc which were stylish and reasonably priced. The restaurant was being renovated which was bit off as woodwork and painting were going on while we were eating. The staff in the restaurant were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food was good especially the vegetable soup with bread. Will definitely return.

Visited today despite reading reviews here , what a mistake could not believe the state of the cafe . A lady behind the counter knocked over a covered tray of scones onto the counter top , picked them up and put them back on sale didn’t use tongs despite them being in full view , all bar one of the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there . The girl on the till didn’t appear to have the words please or thank you in her vocabulary and spent as much time talking to her friends on a nearby table as she did on the till . My impression was the customers were an inconvenience to all the staff .

We have always shopped here over the years both in the cafe and to purchase items for the garden as well .. over the past two months the prices have shot up in the store and they are discontinuing the diamond cards for pensioners and the loyalty card in Rosies cafe .. bad move !! The prices now match Bents up the road and their variety is far greater and service there put this place in the shade so two customers lost and far more will follow I think

thanks for your review, we have to disagree with your comments on the pricing. Generally we are 15 to 20% cheaper than Trebaron were in the past on the same products. We were shocked at how expensive the place was when we took over, especially the plants. The garden furniture we have put in is a higher price level because we now sell a much improved product, frankly the range they used to sell was substandard. These are the departments that are definitely cheaper than Trebaron. Plants 25% Birdcare 20% garden essentials 10% xmas depts 20% bulbs 10% compost and gravel is the same price as before. the prices in the cafe have barely changed at all. I cannot comment on Bents prices but the general feedback is that we are a lot cheaper. thankyou

I was served a mouldy scone. Not sure how long a scone takes to go mouldy? Staff took they tray of mouldy scones away and came back with one scone to give me-from the bottom of that same pile probably! No apology and no shock from staff. Needless today I went away without cake! Gross
