Great little bar for rear ale drinkers, plenty of choice for lager and cider folk too. Lovely ambience, attentive staff, very small bar with some outdoor seating. Regularly packed out. Background music quiet enough to have a good old chin-wag with tour mates.

Turned up with my dog and was told that dogs were not allowed in. This was due to irresponsible dog owners who allowed their dog to chew the legs of a table. A shame really, as such dog owners should be barred with their dogs....More

As soon as you walk through the door you're confronted with a wide range of bottles and cans on the shelves. Then you're happier still when you see it's also a cosy and welcoming bar. If you miss this place you miss out.

The hops has quite simply the best craft beers in Manchester. Despite the shorter selection I find the quality consistently better than the larger tap houses in town and the prices undoubtedly keener. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. The only problem is that there aren't...More
