Cosy little bar in the underbank district of Stockport! It feels like you are going back in time a bit! There are various rooms and snugs! Range of beers not brilliant but would recommend for a pint!

Good beer at favourable prices. There does seem to be favouritism towards intimidating regulars which made my stay shorter than I would have liked!

A Sam Smith's Gem! Having moved from Stockport have not been in for 10 years and couldn't believe it hasn't changed, cheap excellent ale, unspoilt, a real old fashion pub with 3 good seating areas, one being unique and worth the visit on its own....More

Wandering through Stockport on a wet December evening, looking for fodder. Stumbled into Old Stockport, and saw a light shining and a pub sign illuminated. That will do. Then I walked in - WOW - unbelievable inside, almost Dickensian, but apparently it is even old...More

Cracking pub with stacks of character. Lovely beer and great value prices, friendly staff, nice bar area with little sub sections and a really cosy back room. One fantastic curiosity is the tiny toilet. It's not in use but the bar man is more than...More
