Having visited this pug for a Sunday roast numerous times, I have learnt that the earlier you get the better quality and quantity of food. Also don’t wear track suit pants - they’re banned in there.

Where to start. I’ve been in here a couple of times. It’s my local and I tried really hard to like the place. - last night I was rudely told to remove my hat (a wooden flat cap) by the barmaid. It’s a cold January...More

Visited for lunch over the Christmas break. Place was quite busy but we were served quickly and staff member serving was lovely. Ordered the ‘famous’ homemade cheese pie with chips, peas and cheese sauce. Lamb shoulder with winter veg and mash and popcorn chicken and...More

I came in here last night with old friends on a whim as we decided Town Cafe and Bar over the road was somewhat lacking in atmosphere. So you can't say that the Lizzie lacks that - it was far from heaving but it wasn't...More

Food wasn't bad, but conferring its pub four with grab your own cutlery, bit pricey. Also quite small portions. There are places in Heaton Moor with a bit more character than this place.
