This was my first visit to the museum, even though I live locally. My wife and granddaughters have been before. I was very impressed. While it is not a very large museum it is much larger than it looks from the outside. Good for anyone...More

It has been a while since I visited and the changes made in the meantime are impressive. The exhibits give a genuine feel for the past and present of Saddleworth and the artefacts bear witness to the long history, industry, poetry and art of a...More

This museum has recently been renovated with an abstention and upgraded but it is still a relatively small museum. This museum shows a little bit of local history and with there not being that much history like you would get with a city there isn't...More

An excellent way to find out about our Industrial Heritage. Very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. The exhibits are good and they have tried to make it more child friendly. Lovely Building

Local museums like this one are so important as, without them, so much local information would be lost to the general public as the bigger city museums wouldn't be interested in many of the exhibits. They are also important because they are local and help...More

This museum is central to the town well laid out but a little sterile since it was refurbished. Very much catering towards families rather than those interested in local history. I didn't learn anything I didn't already know. There is an art gallery on the...More

It's only small, but packed with lots to see. There are dressing up areas for children and a quiz for them to do as they go around Small entrance fee and free parking within the area.
