We took the grandchildren here last week. They enjoyed the nature trail from the carpark. There are a good number of picnic benches and seats around. There are toilets at the café. The playground is excellent - well-maintained and imaginative. The only drawback is that...More
I have driven past the brown signs for Jubilee Lake so many times and always wondered what it was like. So I decided to try it out on Bank Holiday Monday with my 6yo daughter. What a hidden gem of a place!

We called here on 14/5/18 just as the workmen were finishing extensive renovations. The dog had a good run about and we sat by the lake in the early morning sunshine. The park was pristine, lets hope it stays that way!
A quiet place on the edge of the small market town. Pretty walk around the tree lined lake, with a very well maintained children's playground near the beginning of the walk. Tea room open on a couple of days. Lots of wildlife to see and...More
This is a beautiful area within walking distance of my brother's house. It is special because my brother put a bench there after the death of her wife. Thus a quiet time for reflection while looking over the lake. Often only the ducks for company!

Hi STAN, you can buy a day ticket at maggies fishing tackle in the arcade by the lights in centre os w b opp Iceland. think it costs about £5-£6 and is worth it. The fishing is good, carp, tench, bream the main species. You will catch anywere on th lake. Best baits ive had good catches with are in order, trout pellet paste with small pellets fired round float, sweetcorn and bread. There is no toilet facilities at the lake although there are some at the café when you head for lake from car park. The lake is well stocked and you should enjoy a good days fishing, any of regulars on lake will gladly give you advice if needed. TIGHT LNES THOMAS S
