Womad is sort of like being charged a whopping fee to go to a Womens Institute flea market, with the occasional bit of music through a pretty crappy sound system thrown in. One of the tents was like listening to a radio with an upturned...More

Womad curates top quality live music, djs, food and treatment stalls that appeal to a diverse and good-natured audience. I ended up in the Lizard tent every night dancing to great music with a great crowd.

WOMAD is just simply awful, terrible music, it’s more like a Karaoke Festival for unknown people, the singing standard is dire, highlighted by Ken Boothe who was so out of tune it was simply embarrassing. The Food is too expensive, probably because the organisation who...More

We ve been going for a number of years to hear great, varied music. Though not enamoured with the fast food and expensive camper van field, previously the musical experience has put these reservations in the shade. Not this year though. The music wasn't so...More

Excellent festival, eclectic, esoteric, tons to do. Very relaxing and great for families. Music can be hit and miss. Some well weird, other stuff mainstream but you will certainly discover something you haven’t heard before (and may never want to again!!)

If you are camping there you can of course cook. However, there are no electricity points, even for camper vans, so a fridge might be an issue. There's so much choice in food I am sure you will find something to suit.
