We (myself, husband and 4 year old) had a lovely trip to the museum. The lady on reception was extremely friendly and helpful as were the other museum staff. Plenty for children to get involved with. The displays are clear and informative without being overwhelming....More

Thank you for your review. The WW1 posters exhibition has now been replaced by 2 other special exhibitions - 30 years of collecting supported by the Art Fund and an 80th Anniversary exhibition of the Royal Voluntary Society.

I chose to visit based on positive reviews here. I was not disappointed. The highlight is the exhibits of neolithic/bronze age history and artifacts, telling the story of famous local sites, and putting them in the context of human cultural evolution. It's very well done....More
