My Dad was one of the initial group who created the Darwin Gardens as part of Ilkley's millennium celebrations. We returned to the town after a gap of over 10 years, and visited with some trepidation to see what damage time and nature had wrought...More

Darwin only stayed in Ilkley for about 6 months, and I am sure if he realised that some 150 years later they would have created a Millenium Maze in the Gardens created in his honour even he would have been surprised

A lovely little labyrinth in the open style. It won't take you very long but it is surrounded by lovely parkland which was interesting in its own right. We spent probably half an hour here.

I just saw the "maze" at the start of an afternoon walk on the moor. I would not wake up at night to go again...but it is nice and green.

Nice little millennium maze to have a bit of fun doing with both old and young friends. All set in a pretty park overlooked by Rocky Valley and Cow & Calf .

Gentle little lawn maze. Wont take you too long, best combined into a longer walk maybe up on the moor, don't forget your hat

Not a destination in itself but worth a visit if visiting Ilkley or the famous Ilkley Moor. It's free, it's in the open air, it's interesting what's not to like?

Fun little activity on your way up or down from the Moors. Just a small maize but keeps children and adults entertained. Free and easy to get to. Doesn't take much time but worth stopping by if you're up there.
