Gibson Mill was once a cotton mill and I guess later an entertainment emporium. Two areas that I found fascinating was the lift up through the floors of the Mill. No electricity or motor but once you have entered the lift it calculates your weight....More

To get to this site requires a 1 mile walk from where you park.Once there you find an incredibly “off the grid” site with a pleasant cafe lovely surroundings and not much else

Going here is not only a place for good food but also, a history lesson about Hebden Bridge and also the mill. There's a water wheel and an Archimedes screw to see. Great place!

We went to Hardcastle Crags and stopped at Gibson Mill Cafe for tea and a Ham Sandwich after a 30 Minute walk, fantastic place tucked away in a wooded valley about 5 Minutes by car from Hebden Bridge.

There are some really moany reviews on here and I'm certainly not going to be adding to that brigade. It's a simple watering hole selling the usual refreshments and it's nothing fancy but it's nice and it's perfectly palatable. The staff are pleasant and helpful....More
