From the lovely coast guard museum (free neat little exhibit!) we took a short hike down to see the rocky shore. At the best photo spot, there's a lovely wide bench to rest. We decided not to venture past there because the trail turned steeper,...More

We just happened on this park and loved it. There is a lifeboat museum there, but it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so we couldn’t visit. There are several trails to take from the parking area. They are all less than a mile one...More

Great Coast Guard and Navy History. The museum was full of old maritime stuff and artifacts. The park like setting is very quiet and relaxing and offers 2 or 3 nice trails to hike that lead to great views of the ocean.

Easy loop trail, with views of the rocks, sea life, and kelp beds! The path was gravelled and easy to walk on.

Agates, tidal pools and crashing waves make for a stunning experience. The days we were there the wind was quite strong so we weren't able to stay on the beach for a long period because of blowing sand. However, spoke to several locals who said...More

Still, after all this time ... our favorite trail. First Westward toward Klooqueh Rock (the triangle rock) to sit on the bench & watch for whales and check for the sealions. Then to backtrack, taking the Right fork to Nellie's Point, overlook to both West...More

Love stopping in Port Orford to have lunch by the Coast Guard Station and take a walk through the trails at the park. The views are amazing and the trail was easy enough that even my 2.5 year old grand daughter could make it most...More
