Great Museum with well maintained musik machines from times long ago. Nice Tour also for kids and make sure that you do not miss the Britannic organ. Very friendly staff in the museum and in the restaurant.

Great place. One hour of travel in the past. We were together with our children and all of us were impressed. We were lucky. There was no other German speacking visitors so the whole guide was provided in En.

Even though the tour is not in English this was still worth the visit. You can follow along with an English guide book and at the end of the day music is music and isnt language specific. You can spend a good couple of hours...More

After having seen the CIMA in Sainte Croix (the birthplace of music boxes in the Canton Vaud) this museum clearly has more (federal) money and therefore present things more professionally. After all, it's just a question where you are geographically. Either one is fine.

Lovely museum, in the middle of a very picturesque little village. We travelled from Lucerne, and it took us a few hours. The tour itself took about an hour or so, and there's a nice gift shop for souvenirs. Worth your time if you're interested...More

We visited this museum which is outside the city of Basel. The directions we were given was to travel by train, then take Postbus No 116 to Seewen. From there it was quite a walk uphill to the museum, through a lovely village and beautiful...More
