A wonderful beach, so well kept. A gem to visit, completely unspoilt. The tide goes right out, creating lots of lovely safe splash pools for young children. Beautiful soft sands. Amazing views for miles in all directions. A newly discovered family favourite. The daily charge...More

West Wittering beach is great for a day on the beach with children (and the dog(s) if you have one). There's parking available, toilet facilities and a beach cafe that serves fish and chips, hot and cold drinks etc. The beach is fairly flat so...More

Guess the parking charges which are exorbitant reflect the fact that this is the best sandy beach along the West Sussex coast. The charges are probably acceptable if you are staying all day but for a short visit they are really not. Have to say...More

The beach is accessible once you've managed to cross the large pebbles that form a steep slope of about 30m down to the sand......but it's worth it

Very lucky to have visited on a sunny day, the beach is stunning, we spent around two hours walking in both directions. Thought £7 parking was a bit steep but after visiting, thought it was very reasonable.

Visited on a cloudy windy day so maybe did not see at its best, we have visited beaches in North Wales and SW England that are equally as good if not better. However our little dogs and us enjoyed a fine walk on a long...More

Why go abroad when we have beaches like this in the UK? Icing sugar sand. Beautiful dunes. Little cafe and shops all in wood. Plenty of parking in dunes. Grasses and views. Toilets and showers. Pay one cheap price to park for day. Absolutely stunning...More

I'd bike there. It's less than an hour. You will get completely stuck in traffic at this time of year. Enjoy the beautiful coast.
