We were walking back from Littlehampton to East Preston and detoured into the park after seeing flyers advertising a steam train day. We were lucky to have the steam train in both directions for our ride. Good fun especially for children.

enjoyed a lovely ride on this little train with our granddaughter who enjoyed looking out of the carriage. Volunteers are really friendly and helpful. Visitor centre is small and basic but has a fab little train for 20p a go which our granddaughter loved.

Take the train through the tres and passed the golf course to the peaceful Mewsbrook Park then take a walk around the lake. The train is not open everyday so best to check before hand.
