Kingston is a lovely town with a great, clean shopping area. Hanging baskets bring lots of colour to the area. Interesting and intriguing ;piece of art to see if you visiting Kingston.

Great little thing to visit on your way to London. I wouldn’t go here especially if you aren’t in Kingston but when you are: do visit. The kids loved it!

Lovely shopping area. Clean and safe. The variety of shopping was surprising. Friendly and helpful staff.

It's a lovely piece of local sculpture/art, although I wouldn't travel to see it, if you happen to be in the area, then it's worth a pass by though.

OK - it does look out of place next to Wilkinsons at the start of the Old London Road but a constant stream of people come up to it and take photos pretending they're kicking them over like a row of dominoes. I've seen a...More

This modern art installation looks out of place on the Old London Road. Still, it has an element of fun and nowadays the red telephone box is almost extinct and it's difficult to see a functional example in its original setting.

This is an artwork that some local people detested but most around here got into the spirit of it. As a former Art student at the local University I understand it to be what is known as a ‘readymade’, like Marcel Duchamp’s ‘Fountain’. This piece...More

A nice reminiscence of the 'red' telephone boxes that used to dot the city. 'Out of order' is located adjacent to Kingston Market which is a nice place to spend 3-4 hours.

Awful load of toot, costing Kingston tax payers a fortune, from a lazy artist re-hashing his earlier and better ideas. Adds nothing to the site and is completely divorced from the town. Nothing would be better than this junk.

As a resident who has now moved away but visits regularly I definitely see the boxes as a landmark of my beloved spiritual hometown. Tucked away at the top of what has developed towards one of Kingston’s most interesting but often overlooked shopping backwaters. I...More
